Terms of Sale
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Article 1. Who you're buying from
hinovea.com is published and run by:
TOUGGANE Yassine, sole trader, trading as Novea.
33 allée des Chanterelles, 33650 Saint-Selve, France.
French business registration (SIRET): 108 653 460 00015. SIREN: 108 653 460.
Email: mynovea@gmail.com
Referred to below as "the Seller" or "Novea".
Article 2. Scope
These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made on hinovea.com between the Seller and any consumer, referred to below as "the Customer".
They're available on the site at all times and take precedence over any other terms. By ticking the box at checkout, the Customer confirms they've read and accepted them.
The Seller may update these terms at any time. The version that applies is the one in force on the day the order is placed.
Article 3. Products
The products offered are those listed on the site at the time of browsing, subject to stock availability.
Each product comes with a description of its key features. Product photos are for illustration and aren't contractually binding — slight colour variation can appear depending on the Customer's screen settings.
Novea lamps are decorative, functional light fixtures for home use. They are not medical devices and do not replace an eye exam.
Article 4. Price
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown before the order is confirmed and repeated in the order summary.
The Seller may change prices at any time. The price that applies is the one shown when the order is confirmed. Where a struck-through reference price is shown, it reflects the lowest price offered in the 30 days before the discount began.
Article 5. Placing an order
The Customer selects their products, checks the contents of their basket, enters delivery and billing details, chooses a delivery and payment method, and confirms the order.
Before confirming, the Customer sees a full summary allowing them to correct any mistakes. Clicking the button marked "order with obligation to pay" (or similar wording) confirms acceptance of the price and these terms.
The sale is finalised once the order is confirmed by email. The Seller reserves the right to cancel or decline any order that appears abnormal — for example, an unresolved earlier dispute or suspected fraud.
Article 6. Payment
Payment is taken online, in full, at the time of ordering, by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or any other method offered at checkout.
Transactions are secured by our payment provider. Card details are encrypted and never pass through the Seller's servers in readable form — the Seller has no access to them and does not store them.
Orders are only processed once payment has been received.
Article 7. Delivery
Products are delivered to the address the Customer provides when ordering. It's the Customer's responsibility to check this address is correct.
Orders are prepared and shipped within 24–48 working hours. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product page and repeated at checkout.
If delivery is late, the Customer can ask the Seller in writing to deliver within a further reasonable period. If that isn't met, the Customer can cancel the order in writing and receive a full refund within 14 days of cancelling.
The Seller is responsible for the order reaching the Customer safely. Please check the parcel on arrival and report any issue to mynovea@gmail.com, ideally with photos.
Article 8. Right to cancel
The Customer has 14 days from receiving the product to cancel, for any reason and without penalty.
Novea covers the cost of returns and, on top of this legal right, offers a 30-day trial during which the product can be used normally.
Full details, along with the model cancellation form, are on the Cancellation, Returns & Guarantee page, which forms part of these terms.
Article 9. Guarantees
All products come with our 2-year guarantee against manufacturing defects, running from the date of delivery.
How to make a claim is explained on the Cancellation, Returns & Guarantee page.
Nothing in these terms reduces or excludes the Customer's statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Article 10. Customer service
Any question, complaint, or request about an order can be sent to mynovea@gmail.com. We reply within 24 working hours, Monday to Friday.
Article 11. Personal data
The data we collect is needed to process orders and manage the customer relationship. How it's handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Customer has the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, and port their data, which they can exercise by writing to mynovea@gmail.com.
Article 12. Intellectual property
All content on the site — text, images, diagrams, photographs, logos, and trade marks — is protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction or use of any of it, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is prohibited.
Article 13. Electrical waste and batteries
Lamps and their batteries must not be thrown away with general household waste. They should be taken to a collection point for electrical and electronic equipment, or for batteries, in line with applicable regulations.
Article 14. Resolving disputes
If a problem comes up, the Customer is welcome to contact the Seller first to look for a solution together.
Beyond that, the Customer can also raise the matter with an independent consumer dispute resolution service. Details are in our legal notice.
Article 15. Governing law
If any clause in these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
Note: this is a translated and adapted version of our French Terms of Sale for a UK audience. Some of the original French wording referenced specific French statutes (Code de la consommation, Code civil) and a French VAT exemption that don't carry over directly to the UK — those references have been generalised here rather than guessed at. Before this page goes live, it's worth a proper legal review to confirm governing law, VAT/customs treatment for UK shipments post-Brexit, and the exact UK statutory wording (Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
